Mr Mal Warwick (USA) Board Chair Mal is Chairman and Founder of Mal Warwick Associates, a fundraising consultancy in Berkeley, California, established in 1979, and is a leader in the movement for socially responsible business. He has written or edited eighteen books, including Revolution in the Mailbox and How to Write Successful Fundraising Letters.

Ms Bisi Adeleye-Fayemi (Ghana) Bisi is the Executive Director and one of the co-founders of African Women’s Development Fund, the first Africa-wide grant-making initiative for African women’s organisations. Prior to her current position, she was the Director of Akina Mama wa Africa (AMwA), an international development organisation for African women.

Akwasi Aidoo (Ghana) Akwasi Aidoo is the Executive Director of TrustAfrica, an African foundation that is dedicated to strengthening African initiatives for regional integration, peace and development. Akwasi serves on the boards and committees of several nonprofits, including Oxfam America, Global Fund for Community Foundations, Africa Grant-makers’ Affinity Group, and the international committee of the Council on Foundations. His current professional interest centers on the development of grant-making institutions in Africa.

Ms Rory Francisco-Tolentino (Philippines)
Aurora (Rory) Tolentino is the Executive Director of the Asia Pacific Philanthropy Consortium (APPC), A network of organisations dedicated to promoting the flow and effectiveness of philanthropy in the Asia-Pacific region. Prior to joining APPC, she served from 1999-2002 as the Executive Director of Ayala Foundation in the Philippines. Until 1998 Ms Tolentino was the executive director of the Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP), the country's largest grantmaking and project-implementing foundation supported by contributions from some 172 member corporations.

Ms Norma Galafassi (Argentina) Norma is the Director of "in2action", a full service fundraising firm based in Buenos Aires and London serving local and international organisations worldwide. She is an experienced consultant and internationally recognised trainer. Norma was the first Fundraising Manager for UNICEF in Argentina and is one of the founders and a board member of the Argentinean Fundraisers Association.

Mr Marcos Kisil (Brazil)
Dr. Kisil is a well-known expert in private social investment in Latin America having spent more than 15 years as Director for Latin America and the Caribbean at the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, Battle Creek, Michigan. He is currently President of the Institute for the Development of Social Investment, a leading institution in promoting philanthropy in Latin America – a member of Charity Aid Foundation International Network, and CEO of Maria Cecilia Souto Vidigal Foundation, a family foundation created in 1965 focused in health, child development and environment. Besides, he is a professor at the University of São Paulo’s School of Public Health. He serves as Board member of several organizations including the Brazilian branch of the BirdLife International and Resource Alliance. He is a founder member of WINGS – Worldwide Initiative in Grantmaking Support. Dr. Kisil has a Medical Degree from the University of São Paulo and received a PhD in Public Administration from George Washington University (SGBA). He is a senior fellow of Synergos Institute and a member of the editorial board of the Alliance Magazine.

Mr Jan Krol (Netherlands) In 1982 Jan founded PSI Direct Response, an agency for consumer direct marketing and direct mail production, in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Through the years PSI specialized in direct marketing for charities and other non-profit organisations like unions and charity lotteries. Today (2008) Jan is chair of PSI Group and publisher of Vakblad Fondsenwerving (Funds Magazine) with a magazine, websites, job-board, a programme with 40 workshops and masterclasses through the year and an annual congress and exhibition on fundraising in the Netherlands. Jan is also founder (in 2005) and director of the Animal Care Foundation (Stiching DierenLot) in the Netherlands.

Safi Rahman Khan (Bangladesh) Safi Khan is currently the Executive Director of the Bangladesh Freedom Foundation, a national grantmaking foundation. Prior to joining the Foundation, he was engaged as the NGO Corporate Governance Advisor with an independent non-profit research centre, the Bangladesh Enterprise Institute. Safi was previously the Bangladesh Country Representative of Ashoka Innovators for the Public - an international citizen sector organization that provides support to social entrepreneurs. His first entry into non-profit sector was with the Programme for Research on Poverty Alleviation, Grameen Trust where he focused on developing appropriate technology related projects. Safi has taught courses on NGOs and Social Entrepreneurship at BRAC University, and consulted with the World Bank reviewing NGO Financial Management and Accountability issues. He is the founder and Trustee of Jamil-Sarwar Trust (an education trust), Treasurer of Nagorik Uddyog (a human rights and legal aid organisation) and Board Member of the Asia Pacific Philanthropy Consortium (APPC) based in Manila. Safi holds a BA and MBA degree. |

Bina has worked on fundraising and advocacy programmes in both India and the UK having joined the voluntary sector after almost 11 years in senior management in the insurance sector in India.

Bernard is one of Europe's leading authorities on fundraising and management in the not-for-profit sector. For over 18 years he has advised NGO's, public sector and cultural organisations on fundraising issues. He has written and published widely on strategy and leadership.

Mr Steve Thomas (Canada) Steve is the founder of Canada’s first direct response fundraising agency, Stephen Thomas. He has been a fundraiser for almost 30 years and lectures worldwide. He is also one of the founders of the Canadian Fund Raising Congress.

Mr Zoltan Valcsicsak (Hungary) Zoltan is Senior Manager of Community Affairs at Levi Strauss Europe. He is responsible for allocating a Community Investment budget to non-profits; cultivating the employee volunteer programme; developing branded philanthropy projects and raising awareness of the company´s values and social responsibility programmes.
