Resource Mobilisation Training Workshop for Vietnamese Civil Society Organisations

Organised in collaboration with the Institute for Social Studies, the first ever Resource Mobilisation Training Workshop for Vietnamese CSOs was held on 25-26 February 2009. Aiming to enhance the ability of civil society organisations to raise funds from new and diversified sources, the workshop introduced in-depth knowledge of various practices and techniques.
With the theme of “Building Foundations for Sustainability” the workshop drew together local and international experts to present an exciting and varied programme of workshops and plenary sessions. These covered various aspects of resource mobilisation including writing proposals, building corporate partnerships, developing fundraising strategy and effective communication. Participants learned in an inspiring atmosphere through interactive discussions and insightful presentations.

The Institute for Social Studies (ISS) is ranked among the most dynamic think tanks under the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA). Established early in 2008, ISS quickly became a hub for top scientists and researchers in Vietnam, especially prestigious for its professionalism and expertise in NGOs and NGO networks in Vietnam. Most recent activities of ISS include the building of a database system of Vietnamese civil society organizations and numerous researches in social development issues including NGOs and climate change, NGOs and children education and protection, NGOs and aid effectiveness, and policy dialogues.
