As Head of New Media at Comic Relief, the UK’s most innovative media and event fundraising charity, Martin was responsible for the digital aspects of events like Red Nose Day and Sport Relief. He established the organisation’s use of mobile, social media and digital marketing for both fundraising and campaigning. He led growth in digital revenues from £400,000 to £40 million, including delivering the first mobile/ SMS fundraising activities for the UK charity sector in 2001.
An expert in digital experiences, fundraising and integrated communication, in 2008 he co-founded HomeMade Digital with two Comic Relief colleagues. HomeMade is a leading digital fundraising, optimisation and technology partner working with large and pioneering NGOs around the world.
