Connecting with donors and driving value through SMS and WhatsApp Any non-profit would say that their home page is their “front door” on the internet. Often times when you actually interact with a non-profit digitally (like a donation) the follow up is cookie cutter and it doesn’t make supporters feel special or unique. Non-profits are realizing that their supporter experience is just as important, if not more, than their home page. Successful non-profits are taking command of how they connect with supporters and really thinking through the interaction from the supporter’s perspective. In this workshop we’re going to discuss the mindset of donors and the communication channels that help organizations reach their supporters at the right time, and the right place, with the right message. Messaging is the most used form of communication in the world with more monthly active users than email, social media and even the internet. We’ll share examples of how organization successfully use channels like SMS and WhatsApp to connect with donors and drive value. Aimed at: This session is for organizations looking to make a digital transformation, organizations that are serious about building customer digital journeys with the desire and capabilities to BUILD something that fits their needs, not just buy off-the-shelf software. Learning outcomes: It’s not build vs buy it’s build vs die. What’s available and what’s worked in the past. Big ideas for organizations to try.
