Rewati Raman Dhakal (Nepal)

Founder of the Nepal Center for Philanthropy and Development (NCPD)

Rewati has accomplished a master’s degree in Sociology from Tribhuvan University in Nepal. He has got 15 years of experience in nonprofit organizations whereas he has eight years of extensive experience in fundraising and resource mobilization.

He is a founder of Nepal Center for Philanthropy and Development (NCPD) and currently works in Nepal Red Cross Society as Resource Mobilization Manger in Nepal. In the past, he has worked for a fundraising organization called the Alliance for Good in Singapore, based in Nepal and other development and humanitarian organizations like Plan International, Population Services International (PSI) and Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) and other national-level NGOs.

He has also designed and organized several national level philanthropy and fundraising conferences and campaigns in the past and raised around $ 10 million to support philanthropic projects in Nepal.  Rewati also writes on philanthropy and fundraising for the South Korea-based online newspaper www.mangopost.org.

Rewati is also a US Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) alum and country member of the Word wide Initiatives for Grantmaker Support (WINGS), Asian Philanthropy Award- South Korea and Youth Vision and Community Leadership Foundation in Nepal.

He has also successfully completed Certified Campaign Manager (CCM) and Certified Fund-Raising Specialist course in fundraising from International Council of Non-Profit Management (ICNPM), USA.
