Alan Bolchover

Director of Fundraising, Outward Bound

Alan Bolchover was appointed Director of Fundraising of the Outward Bound Trust in July 2010 and has overseen an increase in fundraising from £1.7m in 2010 to £8.68m per annum by 2015. Alan specialises in high value and corporate fundraising and he has pioneered some of the biggest fundraising events in the UK, including the Descent of the Shard in 2012, which made £2.8m, and this years City Three Peaks event – a high value abseil down the Gherkin, Walkie Talkie and Cheesegrater – grossing over £2m for in one day. In his time at Outward Bound Trust Alan has won three Institute of Fundraising Awards, been shortlisted twice and numerous other awards for different income streams. Previously Alan served led the Scout Association’s fundraising and was Chief Executive of the New Israel Fund, the largest Civil and Human Rights organisation in the Middle East.
