Conny Lo

Director of Chinese giving, SickKids Foundation (Canada)

Conny is a professional with 20 years of international experience in fundraising, advertising creative, marketing and communications with a specialization in strategic planning, business development and project management. She currently works at SickKids Foundation in Toronto, where she was recruited in 2013 to spearhead a brand-new fundraising initiative within the Chinese community. With her broad range of experience ranging from the private to non-profit sectors, and an extensive global background, she successfully developed and executed a fundraising strategy locally and internationally that surpassed its goal by 150 percent. Prior to joining SickKids Foundation, Conny worked for Scotiabank, the third largest bank in Canada, where she served as senior marketing manager for multicultural banking.

Conny was born and reared in Hong Kong and completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications in Taiwan. Due to her trilingual capability — English and two Chinese dialects, Cantonese and Mandarin — Conny was one of the pioneers in the Hong Kong advertising industry to work for Mainland Chinese clients in the early 2000s and has received numerous creative awards. Conny’s capacity to understand and embrace the relevance and beauty of diversity in Canadian culture has set her on an exciting path in cross-sector business development.
