As co-owner of consulting firm hjc, Karen oversees operations and the technology consulting unit. Prior to joining hjc, Karen spent 15 years using her unique skills and insight to help lead social impact organisations that help entrepreneurs and innovators be successful, and her private sector experience spans everything from oil and gas construction to maintenance of military helicopters and aerospace. At the beginning of her career, Karen’s work led to receive a nomination to go into space with the European Space Programme.
Karen graduated from the Department of Materials Science at the University of Strathclyde. She holds both postgraduate masters and PhD degrees in materials science from the Institute of Materials Science at the University of Manchester as well as an MBA from the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management.
