Lisa Russel

During her career, Lisa has consistently led fundraising growth. She is decisive and versatile and her main strengths are in developing strategy, building effective teams and finding creative solutions to achieve results. With over 20 years’ experience of working in the voluntary sector, Lisa has managed a diverse fundraising portfolio with charities such as Parkinson’s UK, Terrence Higgins Trust, Marie Curie Cancer Care and a UK Community Foundation.

As a practitioner, Lisa has shown her range devising and delivering strategies in community, events and special events, corporate, trusts and foundations, legacy and major donor fundraising. She has also led on a number of capital appeals and campaigns and has a proven track record in delivering leadership giving programmes for HNWI, corporates and foundations. Lisa has a particular interest in strategic philanthropy and developing advocacy programmes & honorary structures. In addition, Lisa has been a highly successful manager who has a passion for developing talented fundraisers. She has both established and maintained teams, raising skills and confidence amongst staff and empowering them to meet challenging targets.

As a consultant, Lisa continues to work across a range of fundraising disciplines. She is good at spotting opportunities as well as being an effective troubleshooter, which enables her to find strategic and practical solutions for clients. Lisa is able to introduce processes, plans, products and programmes, which can be implemented and aligned to organisational drivers and objectives. She is also interested in developing and mentoring individuals and teams and ensuring that NGO’s have the right structures and skills to achieve their goals and plans. Lisa is passionate about finding the right solutions for clients, motivating their staff to deliver and providing excellent service.
