Founder, Sakha Consulting Wings

A master’s graduate of London School of Economics in social policy and planning, Meenu is the founder of Sakha Consulting Wings. She has always had a deep-seated commitment to women’s rights and development. Over the years, she has written and published many articles on women’s rights in various books and magazines. She has been working for the last three decades with grassroots-level initiatives both in India and Uganda, where she was the country director of Action Aid. Women on Wheels is an effort by her to ensure a life of dignity and socio-economic freedom for women. A hybrid enterprise, Azad (a non-profit) and Sakha (a for-profit) is a unique social enterprise, launched to provide safe transport solutions for women, by women, in urban India while providing livelihoods with dignity to resource-poor women.
