Michelle Ehrhardt (USA)
Deputy Director of Membership, ACLUCitizen of the world and eternal “do-gooder”, Michelle transitioned to the non-profit sector 12 years ago after a fun and exciting, but ultimately unfulfilling career in the for-profit world, and a two-year career diversion teaching English in Japan. She’s a passionate direct marketing fundraising specialist, who secured her fundraising credentials working for leading fundraising agencies in Australia (Pareto Fundraising) and the UK (Good Agency) across a diverse range of clients, programmes, and channels. Five years ago, Michelle landed in New York and currently works as Deputy Director of Membership for the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) – an almost 100-year-old organization that saw its membership base surge from 500,000 to 1.6m in the aftermath of the US presidential election. Michelle’s passions in life are her two exuberant little people, hot chocolate, sunshine, and leaving a positive footprint on the world.
