Paul spent the first part of his career in Consumer Goods marketing for large multi-nationals like Diageo and Mars, focused on branding, communications and innovation. A lifelong supporter of environmental and social justice issues, he moved into the third sector as a fundraiser a decade ago with Oxfam GB. Most recently he headed their Public Fundraising team responsible for over £85m income and leading the team to deliver two successive years of record results. An irrepressible innovator he conceived both the highly successful Oxfam Online shop and more recently oversaw the development and launch of the award-winning ‘My Oxfam’ app. Paul blogs and speaks on fundraising issues at thinkingfundraising.com and is currently on a one year sabbatical from Oxfam, experiencing life as a small charity fundraiser as Co-Director of student campaigning organisation People & Planet. He likes cricket, running, wine (quantity more important than quality) and books about interesting things.
