Viet Nguyen
Regional vice president for development – Asia Pacific Country representative, Operation SmileViet is the regional vice president for development of Operation Smile in Asia Pacific and the country representative for Operation Smile Inc. in Vietnam. He has had a variety of positions and responsibilities over his 18-year career with Operation Smile, including program development, volunteer recruitment and management, and fundraising leadership for local and international communities.
His key areas of interest are in understanding the relationship between private and public sectors in developing countries to better promote capacity building and advocacy through initiatives of fundraising and program development support. By developing these activities, Viet generates great value both in in-kind and financial support for Operation Smile’s activities in Vietnam and around the region. Viet is a regular contributor to the growth of community, offering teaching and sharing experiences with local and international associations and civic groups. He is a long-time member of the American Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam and serves on the board of many student groups.
