Colin Habberton

BrandsEye (South Africa)

Colin is the director of global partnerships at BrandsEye. He also is co-founder of the Relativ Group, a resource mobilisation firm focused on the creation and allocation of financial, relational and intellectual capital for organisations focused on social and/or environmental impact. He has led projects with corporations including BrandsEye, HP, Diners Club and Old Mutual; NGOs including UNICEF, WWF, MSF and Greenpeace; and public sector institutions including SANParks and the City of Cape Town. He has contributed to a variety of academic and industry publications, presented at conferences around the world on the topics of social finance, social enterprise, fundraising, loyalty economics, relationship management and the perspectives they bring to business and social systems.

He currently serves as the Africa ambassador for the IFC. Colin has received a Bachelor of Social Science majoring in Business Administration, Politics and Economics, a Masters of Philosophy cum laude and is completing his PhD focusing on the decision-making dynamics of institutional investors towards responsible investing. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Directors of Southern Africa, a mentor for Endeavor and serves on the boards of a number of for purpose organisations.
