The Resource Alliance was formed in 1981 to become the steward, strategist and creative force behind the International Fundraising Congress (IFC) — the world’s largest, most diverse conference of fundraisers and changemakers.
Today, with the help of our regional partners and volunteer network, the Resource Alliance curates and delivers an integrated series of global conferences, local immersion experiences, and online knowledge exchange platforms that are raising the skills and enhancing collaboration of nonprofits and civil society organisations of every size and type around the world.
The Resource Alliance has an ambitious agenda to serve as a social impact accelerator for organisations that are committed to building a more just, equitable and sustainable world.
It’s hard to exaggerate the unprecedented pace of change that we are all facing.
How we operate now requires greater flexibility and adaptability. Simply put, things are changing fast, new innovations are constantly being introduced and things have become too interdependent for a top-down approach.
In this age of volatility, uncertainty and complexity, the foundation of business has changed and therefore so must our approach to leadership.
Whilst we will require some traditional aspects of management to run a robust organisation, we need to shift our leadership to one that can respond constructively and harness the velocity of change, diversity of participation and volume of interaction.
The CEO of the Resource Alliance requires a truly unique combination of passion, vision and practical ability.
The ideal candidate will be business savvy, have an entrepreneurial spirit, and a strong network in the social impact community.
The CEO will have primary responsibility for operationalising the organisations strategy; providing leadership to leverage the talents of our team and our global volunteer community to the greatest possible effect; and ensuring the organisation has the tools, talent, and resources required to achieve our ambitious goals.
The CEO will also be the primary steward of the Resource Alliance’s financial stability by ensuring the organisation is well managed and supported through a diversified portfolio of funding sources.
Finally, the CEO will embody the voice, spirit and values of the organisation.
