Local experience

Our community is only as strong as our ability to communicate and learn from one-another.

To be a truly global social movement we must commit to two things:

  1. We must shatter the barrier of language for everybody everywhere — Our goal is that every RA Global Community conference will offer local-language on demand so, you will see and hear every session in your native language. Today we are working to ensure all our content is translated into Arabic, English, French, German, Hindi, Mandarin and Spanish. Ultimately we hope to have a network of translators and ‘trans-creators’ to ensure our community can thrive everywhere. No longer constrained by language barriers, attendees from around the globe can authentically engage with each other. In addition, those who are hearing impaired, can choose to read subtitles as well as transcripts instead of a translation.

  2. We must ensure that learning and innovation is always a two-way dialogue — Brilliance, creativity, innovation and real impact are not the sole domain of the English-speaking countries. We are committed to breaking down the old-world paradigm of ‘exporting wisdom’ from one part of the globe to another and are determined to create a new world ecosystem in which we are translating as much from a local language into English as we are the other way around. This means we will facilitate the creation of exceptional local-gatherings in your community and region, and make sure the rest of the world has access to the brilliance you are creating right where you are.

We have no delusion this will be easy. Local language translation has historically been expensive and complicated to manage. But, with the power of an ever-growing global community we will have the financial, human and technical resources to commit make our ambition real!

If you can help us with local language events and translation, we are eager to hear from you.

Outside of our conferences we are also working hard to ensure that all our content is translated into as many languages as possible, starting with Arabic, English, French, German, Hindi, Mandarin and Spanish.  If you speak multiple languages and would like to help us connect with as many changemakers as possible from every corner of the world, we would love to hear from you.
