As part of our improved environmental policy, we are asking all IFC participants to travel overland, ideally by rail, whenever possible. Amsterdam Schiphol rail station is a travel hub that is very well serviced from most other European cities, including a 4-hour direct Eurostar service from London.
We appreciate that with such an international audience, it simply isn’t possible for all delegates to travel overland. For those who must fly, we have a travel partnership with KLM/Air France. Both are kindly offering up to 15% off flights to and from Amsterdam Schiphol if you are attending the IFC. The offer is valid for return flights in the period 7-25 October. The link to book is here. If you are flying, we would urge you to pay a small contribution to offset the carbon emission from your flight(s) using the Gold Standard, carbon offsetting non-profit organisation atmosfair.

We provide free shuttle bus transfers between Amsterdam Schiphol airport to the conference centre, NH Leeuwenhorst on the mornings of Tuesday and Wednesday, in time for delegates to arrive for registration.
Once we confirm the exact shuttle bus timetable, it will be listed on our website. (Transfers are likely to start at 09:00, running approximately every half an hour, with the last coach leaving the airport around 13:30).
We then have mini buses running between the NH and the other hotels on Tuesday between 10.00 and 13.00, so delegates can go to their hotel after to check in and drop their luggage etc before the masterclass begins. Or they may leave their luggage at the NH for the day and go later in the evening to check in (although delegates will need to check when their hotel reception closes to make sure they don’t miss check in).
If arriving a few days early or staying on after the conference, you may consider a hotel in Amsterdam. It is a 15 minute train journey from Amsterdam Central Station to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport to pick up our coach.

Once we confirm the exact shuttle bus timetable, it will be listed on our website. (Transfers are likely to start at 11:30 with the last coach leaving the conference centre around 14:00. The journey time is approximately 30 minutes).
We provide free bus transfers between all Satellite Hotels and the conference centre, which run in tandem with the IFC programme (daytime sessions and evening social activities) so you won’t miss out on anything by staying offsite.
Unfortunately, the Resource Alliance cannot provide transfers outside of these times and you will be required to make your own alternative transport arrangements. Please see the ‘Taxis‘ section below for details of our partnership with Taxi Electric and how to make your own booking through them.
Taxi Electric is the official taxi partner for IFC 2019 – providing transfers from both Amsterdam Schiphol Airport and Amsterdam Central Station to the conference centre. Participants can book their transfers with special IFC 2019 rates via this booking portal: https://book.taxielectric.nl/qb/#?token=PmlMiiyoohxMerlP. The destination address you need to enter for the conference centre is “Hotel NH Noordwijk Conference Centre Leeuwenhorst, Langelaan 3, 2211 XT, Noordwijkerhout“. A taxi to the conference centre from Schiphol Airport will cost €73.58, and from Amsterdam Central will cost €100.
A pre-payment is taken from the card, however if a cancellation is made at least 1 hour before the time of pick up there is no charge. After filling out the form and booking your transfer, Taxi Electric will send you an email and a text explaining how to find your driver.
