The Resource Alliance is committed to accelerating change in the social impact sector. By being part of the Resource Alliance community and attending our events, you commit to complying with a standard of conduct at all events, activities, and interactions both online and in person.
These standards of behaviour are required not only in interactions with our supporters, speakers, colleagues, and volunteers, but also within the sector and with those we support more widely. Every person who volunteers with us, works for us, or comes into contact with us in any way should be treated with dignity and respect.
The Resource Alliance is committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for everyone involved in our events. We believe that more diverse teams achieve more and that diverse representation at our events creates an even stronger community.
We follow a Code of Conduct for all our events in order to create the best experience possible for everyone. Before you participate in a Resource Alliance event, please review our Code of Conduct. We invite you to help us create a safe and positive experience for all.
This Code of Conduct will be enforced across all our events – online and in person – and applies to anyone who engages with the Resource Alliance including, but not limited to, attendees, speakers, sponsors, vendors, partners, and volunteers.
The Resource Alliance events include working conferences intended for professional learning, networking, and collaboration within the social impact sector and wider community. They exist to encourage the open exchange of ideas and expression and require an environment that recognises the inherent worth of every person and group. To that end, our goal is to create an environment where everyone feels welcome to participate, speak up, ask questions, and engage in conversation.
The Resource Alliance is dedicated to providing a harassment-free environment at our events for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, or religion (or lack thereof). We do not tolerate harassment in any form.
Anyone asked to cease inappropriate behaviour is expected to comply immediately. Failure to comply may result in being removed from the event, without a refund, at the discretion of the organisers.
This Code of Conduct may be revised at any time by the Resource Alliance and the terms are non-negotiable. Your registration for or attendance at any Resource Alliance event indicates your agreement to abide by this policy and its terms. We expect participants to follow these rules at conferences, events, and conference-related social events.
If you experience harassment, discrimination, or a violation of any form whilst participating in a Resource Alliance event or activity, or if you are made aware that someone else may be affected by inappropriate behaviour, please let us know.
Reports can be made onsite at any event or by contacting us. At IFC, you can report an incident or concern to any member of the Resource Alliance team, including our staff, volunteers, and board members, who will be wearing an identifying lanyard or T-shirt. At IFC, our team is based in the Secretariat (Harvard 7).
All reports will be treated in confidence and investigated in accordance with the Resource Alliance complaints procedures.
