Alain McKinlay Tilgner (Canada)

Fundraising Coordinator, Ottawa Food Bank

Alain McKinlay Tilgner, CFRE, was always told from an early age, “IALAC” – I am lovable and capable. With that voice, Alain has tackled everything thrown her way. From the many years as a woman in an infantry unit to sharing the joys of the outdoors with youth in both the Girl Guides of Canada and Scouts Canada, she has proven that optimism helps in the ups and downs of life. With over 25 years’ experience in non-profit organizations she has worked as a volunteer youth leader, trainer, volunteer manager, database administrator, writer and editor. She now focusses on direct mail and integrating the messages across all donor channels at the Ottawa Food Bank. Now it is her time to say ‘you are lovable and capable’ of helping others.
