Dave Tinker (USA)

A thought leader in the philanthropic sector on the use of technology and fundraising, Dave Tinker, MPA, MISST, CFRE, FAFP, has helped countless donors connect their philanthropy with charitable missions for over 30 years. He has been an adjunct professor of informatics for a graduate program for over a decade, and has published numerous articles and presented to many diverse groups on topics related to ethical fundraising, use of technology and fundraising, team-building and problem-solving, nonprofit management, and more.

Tinker was one of the first graduates of what is now the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy at Indiana University and holds a Masters of Information Strategy, Systems, and Technology. In 2017, he was named to the inaugural class of distinguished fellows of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. Dave is a publicly elected school board member of the Brentwood Borough School District and serves on the Grant Professional Association’s ethics committee in addition to a number of other volunteer leadership positions.
