Dr Kanchada Piriyarangsan (Thailand)
National Director, Community Children FoundationDr. Piriyarangsan has been the national director of the Community Children Foundation Thailand since 2000. CCF Thailand provides assistance to over 95,000 children and its through sponsorship program helps 50,000 needy children in Thailand with support from both the Thai and international communities. Under Dr. Piriyarangsan’s leadership, CCF Thailand has gone from being dependent on funds from partners overseas to being largely funded by Thais. Today CCF Thailand raises over $US12 million through its local fundraising program, which is over 85 percent of the organisation’s funding. Dr. Piriyarangsan is also board secretary on the National Council for Child and Youth Development Under the Royal Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.
