Filipe is a data crafter and senior fundraising and public engagement strategist. One of the pioneers in the use of business intelligence, data science, and social data intelligence in the sector, he is very good at understanding context, analysing data, translating technical language into business, and teaming up with incredible people to solve real-life problems. Over the last 20 years, Filipe has worked globally, from Mexico to Australia, with Amnesty International, Greenpeace, UNICEF, Oxfam, SOS Children Villages, and Plan International, among others.
Since 2017, his work has been focused on social data intelligence with artificial intelligence and social behaviour change applied to fundraising, public mobilisation, and fighting misinformation, myths, conspiracy theories, and other information disorders. Filipe is an experienced international speaker who has led both masterclasses and workshops at IFC as well as a lecturer with the Uni São Paulo in Brazil, Coimbra Business School in Portugal, and Universidad de San Andrés in Argentina. In 2021, he contributed a chapter on public engagement with social data intelligence to the book Change for Better: Behavioural Science Lessons in Fundraising from the World’s Top Practitioners.
