Giancarla has over 20 years’ experience in fundraising. During that time she has worked as a fundraising expert with organisations such as Amnesty International UK, Amnesty International Italian Section and UNHCR. In 2006, she joined Save The Children, where she has led a very successful fundraising strategy, going from 10 million to 100 million supporters in about 14 years. For three years, she was the Chair of the Fundraising Director Steering Group of Save the Children, loving the international environment and learning as much as possible from the other markets. She is a member of the Board at Save the Children Indonesia. Giancarla lectures at various fundraising courses such as University of Bologna. She holds a degree in Political Science from the University Orientale of Naples and a Master in European Politics from Birkbeck College University of London. She is very interested in Human Rights with a special focus on Women’s’ Rights. She loves her job and is very passionate about fundraising. When Giancarla doesn’t work she spends her time travelling with her family. She is a cat lover.
