Juan C. Mones Cazon received a degree in Communications and has an MBA in Business. His career in the non-profit sector began with Plan International, where he worked for two years assisting in implementing community development projects with the indigenous communities of Ecuador. For two and a half years, he worked for Greenpeace Argentina, developing their online fundraising strategy. In 2001 he co-founded the non-profit Res Non Verba (RNV). At RNV he was able to harness his passion for new technologies and use them to empower management and impact social enterprises. He worked almost seven years for Idealistas.org, a global network of more than one million users, which seeks to improve and facilitate connections between people who want to convert their good intentions into actions. After Idealistas, he worked for almost three years as Fundraising and Communications Director for SOS Children’s Villages for Latin America. He is currently working with UNICEF headquarters in Geneva, leading the global fundraising innovation programme, after having spent three and a half years in UNICEF Colombia as Fundraising manager.
