As Director of Public Engagement and Resource Mobilization, Kiersten Eyes leads on the next phase of Aga Khan Foundation Canada’s longstanding work in building support among Canadians for global development and raising funds for the organisation’s programming which encompasses food security, improving economic well-being, ensuring access to high-quality education and health care, and developing resilient communities and societies. Aga Khan Foundation Canada brings together human, financial, and technical resources to support those in some of the poorest and most marginalised communities, with an emphasis on women and girls, investing in human potential, expanding opportunity, and improving quality of life.
Kiersten brings to the foundation two decades of experience in community-based fundraising and a love of engaging volunteers and supporters. Passionate about engaging with people where they’re at, Kiersten has held a variety of roles in organisations both large and small, rallying communities to effect change, including with SickKids Foundation and the Canadian Cancer Society. As a leader, she is committed to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace, ensuring colleagues can bring their whole selves to work. Kiersten is a graduate of the University of Guelph and lives in Toronto, Canada, with her family. She one day hopes to read all the books she has purchased.
