CEO and Founder, Adroit

Nigel Magson has spent over 35 years working in data analytics and systems development. In 2011, Nigel founded Adroit and now works globally with hundreds of NGOs, providing fundraising insight, reporting, and analysis systems and solutions for managing fundraising programmes. He is passionate about the use of data and supporting organisations to better use their data assets. Nigel founded the Insight Special Interest Group for the Institute of Fundraising in the UK in 2006 and has pioneered a variety of analytics approaches for fundraising.

Adroit runs the Peer Review, INDIGO, and INDIGO Digital Studies for the IFL Forum consortium which is made up of Action Aid, Amnesty International, Greenpeace, IFRC, ICRC, International Rescue Committee, MSF, Plan International, SOS Children’s Villages, Save the Children Fund, Operation Smile, Oxfam, Care International, UNHCR, UNICEF, World Vision, World Food Programme, and WWF.  These turn nearly one billion gift records on c. 85 million donors into interactive reporting and fundraising market webinars for more than 20 countries annually and compile global fundraising trends. In 2020, they won Computing magazine’s award for the best use of predictive analytics, in the AI and Machine Learning Awards.

Nigel’s background is extensive and spans insight, systems, campaign automation, and selection services, as well as audience segmentation and research.
