Arnout Mertens

Arnout is the co-founder and director of SOFIA, the Rome-based NGO for international cooperation of the Salvatorian Fathers and Brothers. He is an expert in project development and grant writing, and created partnerships for the Salvatorians and other faith-based groups with philanthropists and funding agencies from Church in Need to the European Commission. He is also a member of the governing board of Jordan University College in Tanzania and of the rural electrification NGO ELKAP in the D.R. Congo.
