Jean-Emmanuel Shein has been with Fast Retailing, the parent company of the brand UNIQLO, since 1997. He is currently Global Director for Sustainability UNIQLO, based in New York. Jean is focused on developing and implementing community engagement programs at local and global levels, as well as working to further the company’s sustainability efforts across all of its brands other than UNIQLO, including Theory, J Brand, Comptoir des Cotonniers and Princesse tam-tam. Prior to this, Jean held marketing roles at UNIQLO and opened a number of new markets for the brand, including France, the UK and the US. In addition, he headed the e-commerce, customer service and press for Fast Retailing’s French brands for several years while based in Paris.
