Juan C. Mones Cazon has a degree in Communications and an MBA in Business. His career in the nonprofit sector began with Plan International, where he worked for two years assisting in implementing community development projects with indigenous communities of Ecuador. He then worked for Greenpeace Argentina for two and a half years, developing their online fundraising strategy.
In 2001 he co-founded the nonprofit Res Non Verba (RNV). At RNV he was able to harness his passion for new technologies and use it to empower management and impact social enterprises. He worked for almost seven years for Idealistas.org, a global network of more than one million users, which seeks to improve and facilitate connections between people who want to convert their good intentions into actions.
After Idealistas, he worked for almost three years as Latin America Fundraising and Communications Director for SOS Children Villages. He is currently at UNICEF headquarters responsible for speeding up growth in new markets, prior to spending three and a half years in UNICEF Colombia as Fundraising Manager.
