Katharina Steinkellner

Katharina is a high-value fundraising professional and leader of diverse teams and complex, high-target international projects from concept to completion in the public and non-profit sectors. With 10 years of experience in fundraising and fundraising capacity building in various roles with SOS Children’s Villages International she recently joined the Science Museum Group in the UK, the most significant group of museums of science and innovation worldwide, as Head of Philanthropy. In her last role at SOS Children’s Villages International as Head of Global Leadership Giving, Katharina was driving the organisation’s proactive outreach to major donors overseeing the design and management of the organisation’s first global capital campaign. She was also in charge of working with international corporate partners and has successfully initiated and managed strategic partnerships with Allianz, Deutsche Post DHL and Marriott International amongst others. Prior to working in fundraising, Katharina was a key member of the task force organising Austria’s participation at the World Exposition 2005 in Japan and the Director of the Austrian Pavilion. Katharina is an international presenter on corporate social responsibility, philanthropy and leadership at conferences and events in Europe and the USA. She is also an Advisory Panel Member of Rogare, The Fundraising Think Tank of the University of Plymouth Hartsook Centre for Sustainable Philanthropy.
