Kay Sprinkel Grace, FAFP, has devoted the last thirty-five years to working globally with nonprofits, focusing on board development and engagement, strategic planning, major gift and capital fundraising and the key issues that define our sector. Her widely read books and her many speaking engagements reflect her enduring quest to heighten the ability of organisations to engage and serve their communities. She earned her BA (Journalism) and MA (Education) from Stanford University and has received their highest award for volunteer service. In 2020, she received both the AFP Golden Gate Chapter’s Lifetime Achievement Award and AFP Global’s Fundraising Professional of the Year Award. She is an AFP Distinguished Fellow (FAFP). As a recognized thought leader, Kay was co-creator and is a facilitator of the Leaders of Tomorrow program in Central and Eastern Europe and has spoken often to professional organisations and conferences throughout the US, Europe, Australia and Canada. She lives in San Francisco, California, USA.
