Mirjam Vossen is a journalist, lecturer and researcher, specialising in international development issues. The topic of her current PHD research is the representation of global poverty in the English, Dutch and Belgian media. One of her research areas is the framing of global poverty in campaign material from international NGOs. Moreover, Mirjam Vossen has been working as a freelance journalist for nearly twenty years. She writes about poverty reduction, development aid and the public debate about global poverty for various magazines and newspapers in The Netherlands. In addition, she gives guest lectures, courses and workshops about framing, global poverty and citizen initiatives in development work.
