Members of the Innovation Action Lab, part of the Resource Alliance Leadership Programme, have spent the last few months focused on the responsible implementation of AI to drive systemic change in fundraising, working in collaboration with industry leaders in the field to explore opportunities for the social impact sector and address ethical challenges.
This session will feature panellists from Microsoft, Salesforce, and FundraiseUp and will be guided by the work of the Innovation Action Lab. It will be open and participatory conversation, but some guiding questions will be:
- How can we ensure AI is used ethically to enhance fundraising and nonprofit operations?
- What steps can be taken to mitigate bias and inequality in AI systems?
- What safeguards should be in place to ensure AI benefits everyone equally?
- How can nonprofits use AI to trigger systemic change and advance social good?
- What real-world examples or case studies showcase ethically-sound AI implementation in our sector?
- How do we begin to comprehend, let alone tackle, the environmental implications of increased AI use?
