We created the Resource Alliance Leadership Programme to empower a global community of leaders to address the biggest challenges facing the social impact sector right now.
We are at a turning point in human history, where unprecedented disruption exists alongside remarkable opportunities for progress.
This 12-month programme supports social impact leaders – and aspiring ones – to come together to tackle the problems impacting us all. Building on the work of the 2024 cohort, the 2025 programme will explore how we can more effectively tackle systemic barriers, mobilise financial, human and intellectual resources, and co-create solutions that drive collective progress.
Applications to join the 2025 programme have now closed. If you are interested in joining us next year, please reach out to lead programme coordinator James Tennet.

I thoroughly enjoyed being part of the community – diverse perspectives, triumphs, and challenges of people from across the world are required for leaders to grow. The programme offered the opportunity to engage and share and I felt my input was valued and respected.

The Leadership Programme has made me think in different and challenging ways. I’ve had my thinking probed by others with different perspectives in a way I don’t get in other places or groups.

I have found being involved in the programme hugely inspiring and motivating. To have such a unique opportunity to learn and explore with peers from so many parts of the world gives me a new perspective and insights.

How does it work?
The programme consists of four full-group Leadership Summits (three virtual, one in person) and four smaller-group Action Lab meetings (all virtual). The focus and topics of each meeting are decided based on an extensive consultation with and surveys of leaders across the sector, ensuring content delivered on the ambition and priorities of the group.
This year, the Summits will focus on future trends, new models, collaboration, and action. The Action Labs will work on key areas of fundraising innovation, strategy & people, and climate. To learn more about how these meetings are designed and delivered, explore the full programme.

The group that the Resource Alliance put together was a powerful one of practitioners, decision makers, and committed citizens to make impact. There are different perspectives on the challenges we face, but one thing is given – the urgency of acting together. The online discussions were very dynamic and the agenda items were great, sessions were amazingly facilitated, and the group was committed to some very interesting discussions.

The programme helped me understand the power of global connections and networks to change social issues. It was great to be in the same room at the same time, sharing ideas – I am already in collaborative talks with some of my peers on the programme!

My biggest takeaways were research that I can immediately use; some fresh ideas for navigating those aforementioned thorny problems; and a better sense of what other organisations are struggling with and what it looks like in specific cultural contexts. In other words, it was time and financial investment tremendously well spent. The Talent Lab sessions in particular were terrific. I found the organisational structure and fundraiser purpose research fascinating, and really appreciated the in-depth case study content with ability to have extensive Q&A.
