The Greenpeace email success story: How the team quadrupled new monthly email donors

In 2020, Greenpeace quadrupled new monthly donors via its email list alone. This session will outline how the team did it, and how you can replicate it. Through fundraising emails, Greenpeace went from 1,100 new monthly donors annually in 2019 to more than 5,000 over the course of 2020. In 2021, the team repeated the success, using and expanding on these same techniques to maintain consistent results for two consecutive years. This workshop will breakdown the techniques used and unpack how any organisation of any size can achieve digital fundraising success by following the same simple digital mobilisation principles: send more emails, create email journeys, trial new tactics, and constantly optimise.
