Michael Whitney is a digital fundraiser who served as Digital Fundraising Manager on Bernie Sanders’ 2016 and 2020 presidential campaigns in the U.S.
He has raised close to a half billion dollars (USD) for candidates, causes, and charities. Michael has trained hundreds of non-profit and political staff in Australia, New Zealand, Spain, Sweden, the U.K., and the U.S. in how to raise money online by leveraging movements to support progressive issues. He has written about digital fundraising for Politico Magazine, The Nation, and The Intercept, and about Johnny Cash for The Toast.
He has previously worked for Change.org, the Centre for Australian Progress, the Service Employees International Union, and more organisations.
