Miriam Ayoo

Inua Kikem Kenya

Miriam is the impact producer for the award-winning Kenyan documentary film, Softie, where she designs and implements community outreach initiatives that inspire conversation and action based on the film’s progressive themes on citizen engagement. She is also the co-founder of Inua Kike, a community organization that works toward supporting adult women in obtaining their secondary school credentials based in Nairobi, Kenya.

With over 8 years of experience designing, developing, and implementing programs and outreach initiatives in various social impact areas, Miriam is committed to this work and enjoys contributing to projects that highlight the equity, dignity, and empowerment of people, communities, and cultures globally.

Miriam hold’s a BA in Africana Studies from Pomona College in Claremont, California and a Masters in Public Policy through a joint program between two European institutions: Institute for Social Studies based in the Hague (NL) and Institut d’Estudis Internacionals in Barcelona (ES) as an Erasmus Mundus MAPP fellow.
