Petch Manopawitr

Petch is a Thai conservation scientist with 20 years experiences in the field of wildlife research, protected area management and conservation education. He has worked locally and internationally with a number of international conservation organisations on some of the most challenging conservation issues in Asia, including illegal wildlife trade and endangered species conservation. He was a Fulbright’s Humphrey Fellow at Cornell University (2008-09), Global Fellow for marine conservation at Duke University (2009), visiting fellow at Hawaii Institute of Marine Biology (2009) and part of the US Department of States’s International Visitor Leadership Program (2005). He has been a freelance environmental writer since 1996 and has published over 150 conservation articles, including one that received the Green Globe award from the former Prime Minister of Thailand for best environmental writing of the year in 2003.
